Hello family and friends – everyone..
Earlier this year, after an event in May called Occupy for Climate, I pledged to myself that I would personally find at least 10 additional people to add to my presence for the next mass climate event…and here (see also link and QR code below) are the details for that next event.

Can you please share this blog post with anyone you might know in Melbourne (or nearby) who you think might be interested in coming to one of many events (ranging from simple marches to medium level disruptive events)….the choice is yours/theirs).

I know this stuff is confronting… but, climate chaos is here and it is getting significantly worse. Meanwhile….
Our governments are hesitating, green washing, actively hiding the real threat and pretending that technology and business as usual (along with a moderate dose of climate adaptation) can solve this crisis.
Every hesitation, every new fossil fuel development and every lie, is driving us towards the point of either run-away climate chaos or the need for hyper-radical global system change, that in itself, would be catastrophic.
Just one little example of being less than truthful:
Last year the Australian Government asked the Office of National Intelligence (ONI) to assess climate-related security risks, a report was given to the government in November.
In recent weeks the Prime Ministers’ Office has decreed that the report is not to be released, even in a declassified form.
What is the reason for “going dark” on this? It is very likely to be because the ONI has advised that we ARE in a climate emergency… which is by far the greatest existential threat to civilization (a sentiment shared by the majority of climate scientists and indeed the UN).
Unfortunately this scenario contradicts the official and vigorously prosecuted official line that China is the greatest threat to Australia and that this climate thing….don’t worry; Albo has it in hand.
We are actively being lied to because of the interests of a colossal fossil fuel conglomerate and a military-based capitalist system that is hell bent on nationalism and economic growth. Our governments are a significant part of this problem.
It really is time to choose sides – do you want to choose to join radical mass action in an approach that is widely recognised as being essential to the drive the full-on system change that is necessary to limit irreversible and catastrophic climate chaos?
Or, will you choose to sit back and hope that business and politics as usual will save us? Which side are you on?
